Perry, Mi- After a long winter break the RACESTATUS.com MCR Dwarfs 2010 season begins Friday May 14 at “the track that stars call home” Spartan Speedway. This year is also a transgression season for the Dwarfs.

In 2010 season there are some changes to the Dwarf cars, what could that be, tires. The Hoosier 970 will be introduced this season to the series. The series in years past were equipped with Goodyear tires, in the past couple seasons, especially the 2009 season, there was notable changes in the tires. Different compounds, all together different tires were different pending on when they purchased, with out any help or input, basically we don’t care attitude from Goodyear and the Dwarf Series felt a change needed to happen, and it did. With this change the drivers are ready for the 2010 season.

The 2010 schedule this season is looking to be quite exciting with some of the most exciting tracks in the Midwest. Not on the schedule this season is Owosso Speedway and Dixie Motor Speedway which is loss, but some of the new additions this season will more than make up for it. New to the Dwarfs this year is New Paris Speedway, Kalamazoo Speedway for a Couple of dates in June, and the Toledo Speedway in September. Along with those dates the Dwarfs will also be back at Angola Speedway, Auto City Speedway for the Tommy Bowles Memorial, M-40 Speedway in Jones, Michigan and of course Spartan Speedway and the newly reopened Springport Speedway for the Michigan Cup Event. The 4th of July weekend the series will make the trip to Flat Rock Speedway to celebrate our Independence Day Show, and of course the Dwarfs will also run this season at Grundy Speedway for a G.L.A.S. event and Shady Bowl for the Hostetler Evans Classic in August.

2009 Champ “The Kid” Craig Curtis out of Dewitt, Michigan will start his run this season for another Championship, but this season may not be that easy for him. Eric Hoffman your 2007, 2008 Champ, and the only back to back Champ in the MCR Dwarfs will have something to say about. Jon Wylie, Nick Shanks, Landon Hidy, Jeff Slayton and of course the team of Ayers Brothers Racing (Kevin, Rick and Mark) look to improve in the 2010 season. 2009 Rookie of the Stephen Bobek enters year number two with the Dwarfs and looking for his first feature victory, also entering their second season Troy Hoffman and Todd Getz also entering their second year with high expectations this season. Team MMR Mcmanman Racing (Mike Sr, Mike Jr, and Joe), Mike Arnott, Brad Wyatt, Jim Miller, Dave Wylie and Brian Insley also looking in making some waves this season too, and some trips to victory lane.
